About Patricia

Pat Davidson was first elected as a member of the Conservative Party of Canada to the riding of Sarnia-Lambton in 2006.  Subsequently Pat was successful in her bid for re-election in 2008.  She currently sits as a Member of the Standing Committee on Health as well as the Standing Committee on the Status of Women, of which Pat is the Vice-Chair. Pat also plays an active role in the Energy Caucus, an organization comprised of Parliamentarians committed to the study and promotion of energy-related issues.  Pat is also an Executive Director for the Interparliamentary Union and the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, two prominent organizations on Parliament Hill.
 
Prior to her time spent as the Federal representative for Sarnia-Lambton, Pat was involved in municipal government for 26 years.  She served as a Municipal Councillor from 1980-1985, as Deputy Reeve from 1986-1991 and as Mayor of Plympton-Wyoming Township from 1991-2006.  In addition, Pat was the Warden of Lambton County for an unprecedented five terms.

Her involvement as a board member on local committees has been varied.  The associations include Sarnia-Lambton United Way, Detox Centre Committee, Lambton College Foundation, and the Sarnia-Lambton Children's Aid Society.  

Pat is a lifelong resident of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming and she resides in Wyoming with her husband, Bill.  They have one son, Will.
