MP Pat Davidson requests Budget input for second phase of Economic Action Plan

January 2010
Sarnia-Lambton

Dear Constituents,

I am writing to you about the formation of our Federal budget priorities within the riding of Sarnia-Lambton for the fiscal year of 2010-2011.

2009 was a difficult year for the global economy; however we are beginning to see positive signs for our national economy, such as job creation and other economic growth indicators.  Even so, the economic recovery remains fragile, and we need to carefully plan and consider our fiscal responsibilities for the years ahead.

Canada’s Economic Action Plan, a two year plan tabled in response to the Global recession, was successful in its objective to blunt the recession’s impact on Canadians, and your input was of vital importance in the creation of the Action Plan.  I would like to request your assistance once again, as we plan for 2010 and beyond with the second phase of the Economic Action Plan, to be tabled in Parliament on March 4, 2010 after the Speech from the Throne.

Accordingly, I would like to receive what you consider to be your top three budgetary priorities that you would like me to share with the Minister of Finance.

Please forward all budgetary requests to either the following addresses or electronically to the e-mail provided. Remember, postage is free when you mail your Member of Parliament.

I thank you for your help in this matter, and please feel free to contact my office if you have additional comments or questions. Thank you, and Happy New Year, Sarnia-Lambton!

Pat Davidson, Member of Parliament for Sarnia-Lambton
